2019 WAKESETTER 24 MXZ MAX YOUR LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS!

MALIBU WAKESETTER 24 MXZ | MAXIMIZE FAMILY FUN

The 2019 Malibu 24 MXZ gives you maximized style, maximized family time and maximized wakes. Looking sleeker than ever, this luxurious pickle fork model offers a walk-through design with seating for up to 18. The new Wake Plus Hull maximizes wakeboarding and surfing, and we increased maximum possible ballast by more than 410 kgs. Just wait until you see the bigger wakes, especially with the Power Wedge III engaged. Fully tailored to the new hull, the Surf Gate gives an even bigger wave. Increased fuel capacity extends family time on the water, and available new Wet Sounds audio provides the perfect soundtrack.

Malibu’s Integrated Surf Platform combines an array of our innovations to create the perfect wake and wave suitable whether you are a beginner, a Professional, or anywhere in between. The ISP starts with performance hulls and swim boards tailored to each boat model. From there it builds in several industry-firsts, including the unique and patented Surf Gate that transforms a perfect watersports wake into a surfable and customized wave.

The ISP’s Quad Hard-Tank Ballast system lets you add up to 2,270 kgs of wake-creating ballast (depending on the model) at the tap of your finger on one of the dual touch-screens forming our Command Center.

Also at your command, Malibu’s Power Wedge III, our third-generation patented hydrofoil, adds up to 680 kgs of additional wake-generating water displacement.

For the last word in wake and wave control, the Malibu ISP puts it right in the surfer’s hands with the patented Surf Band wrist remote. Easily transfer with the use of Surf Band, as well as audio and visual signaling.

BOATING

The Malibu Wakesetter 24 MXZ's new hull was designed to maximize wake and wave size.

The Wakesetter 24 MXZ had a complete redesign for 2017, from the hull up. This new hull was designed to maximize wake and wave size. Did it work? We think so.

The wave that the 24 MXZ threw during testing was absolutely massive, with so much power and push. This 24-foot boat features Malibu’s Integrated Surf Platform technologies, which consist of the Surf Gate vertical surf tabs, the hydraulic Power Wedge II and an integrated ballast system. When working in concert, these features allow the boat to displace so much water that a really heavy but consistent wave is created on either side. The wave’s pocket size had a ton of length and a fun lip at the end. However, the most impressive characteristic of this boat’s wave is its height. We’re not exaggerating when we say it was waist-high.

Like all Malibu models, the 24 MXZ offers the Surf Band, which lets riders control the wave right from the board. With the Surf Band, you can change the position of the Power Wedge, speed up or slow down — even transfer sides. And thanks to the Surf Gate, there’s no need to move weight from side to side. With all these next-level, customizable features combined with the new hull, wakesurfing behind the 24 MXZ is better than ever.

The fit and finish and accouterments are better than ever, too. Passengers (as many as 18 of them if you want to load up) will love the entertainment system and the stylish yet comfortable seating arrangements. The port console features a rear-facing backrest that is ideally suited for spotter duty.

The 2017 model year has brought a lot of nice new touches. For instance, the new G3.5 tower easily folds down yet, with its stainless-steel construction, is durable enough to withstand a heavy load.

The boat is no slouch in the performance department, either. When it’s time to go home, the ballast tanks drain in minutes; the boat will climb onto plane in under five seconds, then max out at a top speed of nearly 40 mph.

High Points
* Surf Gate vertical tabs allow for sculpting of the wake to rider’s preference without moving ballast.
* Surf Band lets rider control Power Wedge and speed of the boat from the water.
* Seating capacity for 18 people means everyone gets to watch the rider surf the huge wakes and then jump in and take a turn afterward.

Completely redesigned for 2017, Malibu took an already incredible boat and made some significant improvements to it. Created for the person who likes to bring along a large crew of friends and family and stay comfortable, this 24-footer has everything you could want out of a big wakeboat.

One fairly different feature than the traditional bow models is that it has a distinct and roomy pickle-fork bow. That wider design allows for more passengers to hang out and be comfortable up front, but since this boat is 24 feet long, there’s plenty of space in the lounge as well. If you want to watch the action, we highly recommend going for the Wake View seating option that takes the rear bench-style seat and converts it into stadiumlike seating to watch the riding.

This boat has a large footprint, so it takes a lot of weight to displace that amount of water. Luckily, that’s not a problem with the internal stock ballast along with the power plant that the 24 MXZ uses to get it out of the water. The surf wave behind the 24 MXZ is large and easily shaped with Surf Gate, and the wakes are big and rampy.

The MXZ line consistently delivers great wakes for wakeboarding and big, clean waves for wakesurfing.

Malibu’s Wakesetter 24 MXZ sits at the head of the wide-bow line and comes complete with just about every luxury feature available on the market today, as well as seating for 18 people. The 24 MXZ is great for social crews who still have an eye toward a big surf and wakeboard wake in a tech-forward package.

The 24 MXZ is one of the largest inboard boats on the water. It’s deep, spacious, and has storage suitable for an entire day on the water. There are cup holders peppered throughout, along with speakers and lights, and plenty of beam so that people don’t feel cramped. The dash — in its sophomore year — is critical on a big, feature-laden boat like this because the captain can still control the entire thing from the helm. The 12-inch touchscreen has everything you’re going to use on a daily basis, and the smaller auxiliary screen has secondary functions for the more discerning captain. There’s also an analog rotary dial option that lets you nudge functions up or down without going into the touchscreen. The 24 MXZ’s wake gets shaped with the Power Wedge, which is operated from the dash or by the surfer with the new Surf Band. Surf Gate is a must on this huge boat because it takes quite a bit to move weight from side to side.

THE 24 MXZ IS AMAZING.

The performance is incredible for its size, plus you have more than enough room for all your friends and gear. The Wake is so sick, especially with the Power Wedge II, and it's easy to get dialed exactly how you want it. And with Surf Gate you get a huge Wave with a nice lip.
